Melanie brings to the team exceptional experience in Skin Care Products and Client Care. She has a gentle nature and maturity beyond her years with a high level of professionalism. These attributes along with her technical abilities will ensure that your Day Spa experience has been worth waiting for. She offers a wide range of beauty therapy treatments which we have listed inside.
Melanie can also offer her Day Spa consultation and services in the comfort of your own home for added discretion. She has particular expertise in guiding clients in make-up application, from teenagers starting out in applying make-up to more mature women wanting to refresh their look. My four favourite products:
1. Reflect A spray on sun block that you can apply on top of make-up. Need I say more? Everybody should apply sun block at least 3 times per day on sunny days and once on dull days. Previously few people would apply sun block as it involved removing their make-up. With four kiddies myself, this was not possible until Reflect arrived!
2. Benefit Clean & Purity Clean No more spending ages trying to wash off all traces of cleanser. These cleansers take off the make-up and clean the skin with one application which is remarkable, the also wash off quickly.
3. Eye Believe has made the fine lines around my eyes disappear and tightened up the loose skin that had started to appear in my upper eyelids! Magic!

The Chandler Clinic Update. This is our second newsletter and coincides with our second birthday.
Thank you to all our clients for your continued support throughout this time. We have experienced very exciting changes and immense growth over the last year. Below is a summary to share with you.
November 2006 saw us invited to enter and eventually become finalist in the Meridian Energy Business Excellence Awards.
February 2006 Nina our Laser Nurse joined us to replace our previous Laser Nurse Tracey. Tracey was whisked away to Christchurch by her husband’s new job, and so we wish her well with her new life. Nina proved to be as talented with the laser as anticipated and has filled Tracey’s shoes exceptionally well.
Also in February we celebrated the extra space created at the clinic by the relocation of the GP practice. This allows us to offer a private waiting room and also rooms for our Day Spa Therapists. We now have a more peaceful and discrete environment for our clients.
Thank you to everyone for your feedback on our changes. The current interior design is just a taste of things to come!
June 2007 We were accepted as the only South Island medical clinic to supply COSMEDIX Medical Grade Professional Medical Grade skin-care, nutritional supplements and skin peels.
July 2007 This month saw the introduction of our new branding. This was designed to reflect the new interior.
August 2007 The Chandler Clinic commenced home visits for most consultations and treatments. This allows increased discretion for our clients. Please make enquiries regarding this service. |
September 2007 Melanie McLean, our new Day Spa Therapist, joined us. We have had great feedback from all our Day Spa clients on how comfortable they feel with Melanie. Our elegant new uniforms arrived. Outside we have been landscaping our garden area. This will become a more formal garden with discrete outdoor seating with access from Dr Tracy Chandler’s future treatment room. A wonderful way to relax after a treatment.
Also in September we added OPI professional nail polishes, St Tropez tanning products and Glominerals, mineral make-up range to complete our Day Spa range. You can be assured that by choosing these ranges, The Chandler Clinic has brought the best to South Canterbury.
September was a busy month as we also opened our Ashburton branch. This was to provide a convenient venue for our Ashburton and Christchurch clients as well as providing a more discrete option for our Timaru clients.
October 2007 Dr Tracy Chandler was invited to write an editorial column for the new country magazine “Latitude’ and also commenced writing for the “High Country Herald”. This has received great feedback and provides an opportunity for you to find out more about all aspects of appearance medicine.
October also saw The Chandler Clinic win the prize for best stand at the inagugral ‘A Woman’s Affair’ - an exciting fund-raising day out for women to be pampered and shop! Two other events were the CRT Ladies nights in Timaru and Oamaru. All events saw large interest in all services.
November 2007 The Rose Festival was a spectacular day out for Timaru. We were delighted to be a part of it. Thank you to those who joined in our celebrations. Also our chandeliers were installed
- the icing on the cake!
