Microdermabrasion

 

Microdermabrasion stimulates cell renewal and promotes optimal migration of skin cells. Microdermabrasion achieves this by utilising a controlled flow of crystals within a "closed system". The crystals are only set in motion when the hand-piece is placed on the skin. This ensures absolute safety, an extremely important feature when treating areas of the face. Crystal Flow in the Hand-piece Crystal flow is only present when a closed system is achieved by the hand-piece. The crystals then flow across the skin and abrade the dead skin cells. Used crystals and dead corneocytes are vacuumed into the hand-piece and transferred into the used crystal container. This "closed system" design guarantees safety.

Application of the crystals is extremely gentle on the skin. The Skin Therapist controls the rate of crystal flow and the vacuum pressure to determine the desired depth of peeling. This allows the microdermabrasion intensity to be decreased in sensitive areas (such as the eyes or neck), and increased in less sensitive areas (such as the forehead and cheeks).
